Its action in the direction of actors in the social field develops, throughout the year, and relies notably on several devices :
- the contribution to the "Living Together" mission of the Ministry of Culture and Communication, alongside about thirty other establishments.
- the participation, since 2006, in the flagship event of the Ministry towards young people from the social field and particularly from priority neighborhoods of the city policy and rural revitalization areas, "It is my heritage".
- partnerships at the national and local levels with major social sector associations (Cultures du cœur, Secours populaire, Salvation Army, Action Enfance, the Comité national de liaison des régies de quartier and Habitat et Humanisme).
- On a daily basis, the public services of the monuments offer visits and activities adapted to the public in the social field, organize training for the relays to help them accompany the groups independently and, of course, are ready to welcome visitors from all backgrounds by offering various forms of mediation to make them enjoy the visit (guided tours, conference visits, workshops, tour documents, audioguides, etc.).
